Wolfgang Spieker is Principal Development Engineer in Honeywell UOP’s Olefins and Detergents Development group in Des Plaines, IL. He holds a Dipl.-Ing. (MS equiv.) degree in chemical engineering from the Technical University RWTH Aachen, Germany, and a PhD in chemical engineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Florent Minette is a Research Chemical Engineer in the Materials & Process Engineering department of Université Catholique de Louvain (UCL), Belgium. He was involved in the commissioning and operation of the pilot plant and co-performed the modelling of the intrinsic reaction kinetics for the ZoneFlow structured catalytic reactor. Juray De Wilde (PhD MSc BSc, Ghent University) is Professor of Chemical Engineering at Université catholique de Louvain in Belgium. His research expertise includes kinetic modelling and the multi-scale modelling and simulation of chemical reactors accounting for complex (multiphase) flows and detailed reaction kinetics. He is co-author of more than 60 papers in referenced international journals and five book chapters, and co-holder of three patents.
