This transparency fosters trust and strengthens brand reputation, ultimately creating a competitive advantage. • Informed decisions: Consistent and reliable environmental data enable informed and targeted portfolio decisions and integrate environmental considerations already into product design and development. • Organisational efficiency: Streamlining accessibility to LCA data fosters collaboration, eliminates silos and improves overall organisational efficiency by effective resource

allocations. All stakeholders can leverage environmental data for making decisions to minimise environmental impact while reducing overall costs. • Future readiness: Companies gain the necessary data to comply with emerging environmental regulations and participate in upcoming data exchange initiatives. This fosters industry- wide collaboration and innovation, propelling entire value chains and sectors towards a more sustainable future. Significant developments in LCA methodology have resulted in powerful tools that provide both dimensions of scalability. These tools are now readily available, presenting a timely opportunity for the chemical industry. By embracing these advancements, companies can not only influence their environmental footprint but also position themselves as leaders in driving sustainability across the entire supply chain.
