4. Suggesting Additional Safeguards

It can suggest additional measures to prevent the deviation and deal with its consequences. by hpad. This AI technology can significantly reduce the time and effort of many kinds of experts required to carry out HAZOP studies. In this case study, AI companion successfully demonstrated that it can dissect the flow description of a manufacturing process to carry out various analyses. It applied a given guide word to the design intent of the process and then analysed and found the causes and consequences of the deviation. It also identified the existing safeguards present in the plant and suggested additional safeguards that can be implemented to maintain the design intent. Thus, this AI technology has shown that it can perform analyses required for HAZOP studies. This new technology can reduce the human effort required to carry out HAZOP studies and speed

up such analyses.
